1. What Flicko Does

Flicko lets you select photos, arrange them in video projects, edit project photos, add music, effects and transitions, and export videos. The core photo/video editing and rendering workflow is performed on your device.

2. Photos, Videos, Music and Project Files

Flicko may request access to photos that you choose or, when you grant full photo-library access, may display your device photo library so you can select items for a project. On supported Android versions, you can grant access to selected photos instead of the full library.

• Selected photos are copied into Flicko's app-managed project workspace for editing.
• Imported music and project media are used to create your video.
• Project photos, project-working files and exported videos are not uploaded to our application backend merely because you create or edit a video.
• Exported videos are saved to your device's media library.
• If you voluntarily attach a file to a support request, that attachment is transmitted to us for support purposes.

3. Information We Collect or Receive

3.1 Device and app information sent to our backend

Flicko may send technical and operational information to our server to operate the app, maintain Premium entitlements, deliver notifications, diagnose problems, measure app usage and protect against abuse. Depending on app version and device, this can include:

• a device-scoped Android identifier (Android ID);
• app name, package name, app version, version code, build type and install source;
• device manufacturer, model, Android/SDK version, device type/name, screen resolution and network type;
• locale, time zone, country/region information and time-zone offset;
• first-install and last-update timestamps and app-open count;
• Premium status, plan name, product identifier and purchase timestamp;
• push-notification identifiers such as Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, OneSignal subscription/player identifiers, aliases, tags and notification-permission state;
• promotion view/click information and other operational events used to provide and improve Flicko.

3.2 Information you provide

If you use Contact Us, support, Premium-profile or related features, you may voluntarily provide:

• name;
• email address;
• mobile/phone number;
• feedback category, message and priority;
• support attachments that you choose to send.

Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government IDs or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support message.

3.3 Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Google processes payment credentials. Flicko does not receive your full credit/debit card number. We may receive and store information needed to recognize and restore entitlement, such as the purchased product, Premium status and purchase timing.

4. Advertising and Consent

Free users may see advertising. Flicko includes Google Mobile Ads / AdMob and may use Meta Audience Network through mediation. Advertising SDKs can process data such as IP address, advertising/device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions, app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention.

Where required, Flicko uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request or manage advertising/privacy choices. Your available choices can vary by country or region, applicable law, device settings and advertising provider.

5. Analytics, Crash Reporting and Notifications

Flicko uses services that help us understand app performance and communicate with users:

• Firebase Analytics — app usage and interaction measurement.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash traces, installation identifiers and diagnostic/device information used to identify and fix stability problems.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — installation identifiers and push tokens used to deliver notifications.
• OneSignal — notification subscriptions, notification interactions and, in Flicko's integration, device/app aliases and tags used for notification delivery and segmentation.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

Flicko may use the following third-party providers. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

We do not sell your personal information for money. Third-party advertising and analytics providers may independently process data as described above and under their own policies.

7. Permissions

Depending on Android version and enabled features, Flicko may request or declare permissions for:

• Photos / media: to browse and select photos for video projects. Android 14+ can allow selected-photo access.
• Notifications: to send updates or other app notifications when you allow them.
• Internet / network state: for ads, app configuration, notifications, support, purchases and online resources.
• Advertising ID: used by advertising SDKs where permitted.
• Billing: to offer Google Play subscriptions and one-time purchases.
• Legacy storage permissions: on older Android versions where needed for media access or saving.

8. How We Use Information

We use information for purposes including:

• providing Flicko and its project, Premium, support and notification features;
• processing or restoring purchase entitlements;
• providing advertising to eligible free users and measuring ad performance;
• understanding feature usage and improving user experience;
• detecting crashes, bugs, abuse and security issues;
• responding to messages and support requests;
• complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms.

9. Legal Bases Where Applicable

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on your consent, performance of a contract (for example, providing Premium features), our legitimate interests in operating and securing Flicko, or compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent where applicable, although this does not affect processing already lawfully performed.

10. Data Retention

• Project media and editor sessions: remain on your device until you delete the project, clear app storage or uninstall Flicko. Flicko excludes its working project media from Android cloud backup/device-transfer rules.
• Support records and optional profile details: are retained while needed to handle your request, maintain support history, resolve disputes or satisfy legal/security needs.
• Device, usage, notification and entitlement records: are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Flicko, maintain entitlements, prevent abuse, support users and meet legal obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
• Third-party SDK data: is retained according to the relevant provider's retention rules.

11. Data Deletion and Your Choices

Flicko does not require a traditional user account. You may still request deletion of personal information and device-linked records under our control. See our Data Deletion page for instructions.

You can also:

• delete Flicko projects inside the app;
• delete exported videos from your device media library;
• clear Flicko's app data or uninstall the app;
• change photo and notification permissions in Android settings;
• use available advertising/privacy controls where provided.

12. Security

Flicko's production application traffic is configured to use HTTPS for internet communication. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. However, no network, device or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. International Processing

Some service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those providers are responsible for the safeguards applicable to their processing, and we use them subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

14. Children

Flicko is a general-purpose creative tool and is not designed to knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us without any consent required by applicable law, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Flicko's features, SDKs, data practices or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we make material changes.
